On Saturday night both Kenny and I had a very restless night of sleep (or lack-of). We had Destiny (our 4 year old niece) over to spend the night. She was too scared to sleep on the couch, because she’s never really spent a full night over at our house. So she told me she wanted to sleep with us. I had no problem with it. So we put her to bed and put on “Barbie in the Nutcracker” for her, that way she could fall asleep before we got in bed. We go to get in bed and she is sprawled out all over the bed. I didn’t know that such a little person can take up almost a full cal. king sized bed!

Anyway we move her to the middle of the bed but closer to Kenny’s side because I take up quite a bit a room when Im sleeping. Just as we get settled in and say our good nights. Kenny shoots up, looks over at me and says, “I hope she doesn’t wet the bed,” I look over at him and say, “I hope she doesn’t either,” then in all calmness I tell him, “she told me earlier that she hopes she wont wet the bed too”  just when Kenny heard that he sits all the way up and says, “she told you that? I mean she actually said that out loud?,” I told him, “yeah but she also told me she knew what she needed to do if she had to go. She said that she would tell Uncle Kenny and Auntie Amber.” So I didn’t think twice about it. Kenny on the other hand did. As soon as that conversation was over he said, “Oh heck no…she’s gonna pee on me!” And just then he jumps out of bed and gets a towel to put under her!

It was SOO funny I was laughing hysterically! Those of you who know Kenny, know that he is so laid back and careless (most times) but not that night, he was REALLY bothered by what I told him! Anyway needless to say I laid in bed for about 2 hours untill I couldnt stand it any longer. I tap on Kennys arm to tell him I cant sleep with her touching me, and I didnt have enough room. So my wonderful, loving husband moved to the couch. However, that didn’t really solve the problem because I woke up maybe 10 times to either a hand, foot, elbow, or head in my face!

Yeah it made for a VERY restless nights sleep!
