One Year Anniversary

So, its been a while since my last blog. Things have been crazy lately. Kenny and I had our one year anniversary on Sunday (Sept 24Th). We had a good time. I planned a very romantic picnic dinner on the bay. We had Kenny’s favorite meal from his favorite restaurant (Nuevo Grill), and an anniversary cake. We enjoyed our candlelit dinner under the stars. Then we went to the Hyatt Islandia where we stayed the night in a ocean view room. It was beautiful. On Sunday we rented a paddle-boat and cruised all over the bay, we went bike riding along the beach, had lunch at Tony Roma’s, and finished the day off with a movie. We had a very good time being alone, and enjoying each-others company.

I cant believe we’ve been married a year and what a year it has been!I have had a very fulfilling year being married to my prince. Trust me it has’nt been easy. Marriage definitely takes a lot of work, effort, and commitment to keep it healthy and strong, and it is definitely worth all the blood, sweat, tears (and most importantly laughs). Everyday feels like the first with you Kenny, you light up my life. This ones for you sweetie one year down 50+ to go!

I will post pics later tonight from our weekend.

Verse of the Day

When you bow down before the Lord and admit your dependence on him, he will lift you up and give you honor.

Women Of Faith Conference

This was my very first Women Of Faith conference. I have had some very rough patches in my life lately, and my faith was just not where I wanted it to be, the joy hasn’t been there as much. All of the women at the conference were so wonderful and each touched my heart somehow. Some of the women that spoke were; Luci Swindoll, Robin Mcgraw (which her husband “Dr.Phil” showed up as well), and one of my favorites Sheila Walsh (which I am so excited to start reading her new book, “I am not wonder woman but God made me wonderful“) just to name a few. The conference entitled “contagious joy” was definitely a contagious experience. By the end of the conference, I was so excited and my heart was much lighter than it had been in a long time. God revealed to me many areas in my life that I need to work on. Isnt God so wonderful? He loves me in-spite of myself and my sin. Thank-you Lord, what a wonderful experience. I pray that I would indeed have “contagious joy” in my life. I will be attending another WOF conference, you can be assured!

A Tribute to Tommy Fuller

On Thursday August 28th at approximatley 11:00PM a good co-worker of mine left us. He died from a heart attack at a very young age. Please keep his family in your prayers, he has a wife and children of ages 5,9,16,and 21.

Tommy was a good man. We were all so lucky to have known him. The office will never be the same again without him. I will miss him.
